University of South Carolina Honor Band Clinic

posted Feb 3, 2012, 7:16 AM by Nathan Hines
Each February, over 400 high school students from throughout the Southeast converge on the USC campus to participate in the USC Band Clinic. Now in its 35th year of existence, the Band Clinic was created by Director of Bands Emeritus James Copenhaver to provide a unique musical experience for advanced high school wind and percussionists. To participate, students must first be nominated by their high school band directors. Those selected will participate in masterclasses with USC School of Music faculty and perform under the batons of some of the leading conductors in the nation.

Congratulations to the following students for being nominated and selected to attend the University of South Carolina Honor Band Clinic.

Caroline Fraser, Mandy Mericle, Bryce Burroughs, Shelby Robertson, & Kevin Chilton.
